MERON SYA BAGONG GINAGAWANG ALBUM EWAN nakita ko sabi CHILL IS BACK DAW lolzzz

Info:
Philippine rap artist Chill released her first album, Chill, in 1997. While not the most vocally agile of rappers, Chill exhibits much charm and personality on this album, and it is this charisma that makes Chill a worthwhile listening experience.

The arrangements are imaginative and interesting throughout the album, and the music is professionally performed. In addition, Chill acts as producer on this album. She asserts herself as a person and a female on the lyrics, and she is not shy about letting people know what she expects and desires.

"Party All Night," as the title implies, is a fun-filled, raucous party song, which Chill also uses as a platform to assert her rights, as well as doing some high and mighty boasting: "I'm steamy And I'm dreamy And every girl wants to be me." "Touch Move" is an intriguing tune that works off a hypnotic bass figure, as Chill seductively intones the words "Touch move." Aside from rapping, Chill also tries her hand at singing, but her efforts mostly fall flat, as heard on "Nais Ko Mapasaakin Ka" (trans: I Want You to Be Mine) and "Kung Alam Mo Lang" (trans: If You Only Knew), where she sings off-key too often.

"Freestyle" features several guest rap artists, including famed Philippine male rapper Andrew E., who, as is Chill, is signed to Sony Music Entertainment Philippines. Chill's rapping may be a bit amateurish, but her music is enjoyable and holds one's attention.

Female rapper Chill's rapping on 1997's Chill was enthusiastic, but somewhat amateurish. Still, the album was fun, and Chill oozed personality and charisma. Her rapping on Egomaniacal, the Philippine's second album, is more polished and technically proficient, but some listeners might think the album is less fun than before.

Chill's improved proficiency is apparent on songs such as "I'm Your Gurl," "Baliw," and the amazing "Speed," where she raps in a dazzlingly fast manner, all the while maintaining her poise and attitude.

-----------------

As label owner, producer, and artist... Chill is recognized as an undeniable and unstoppable pioneer in the Philippine's music scene. Her resume and reputation speak for themselves, as well as, fully justify her crowning as the, “Queen of Philippine Hip Hop.”

Early on, Chill learned -first hand- about the frustrations and challenges of trying to attract attention from A&R reps and earn the respect of major record companies in Manila. She was constantly hammered with negative responses, mostly along the lines of, “There is no place for a female Filipina rapper in this industry.” Rather than be discouraged, Chill used this feedback to fuel her motivation. And if only to prove these critics wrong, she refused to give up and decided failure was not an option. Her courage and resolve eventually paid off, when she launched her own record label “ILL.IS.IT Records”... distributed by the mighty Sony Music Corporation. With this label, she paved the way and provided a springboard for such groundbreaking Filipino artists as: Chinese Mafia, Madd Poets, D.F.T., Lyrical Assault, and Itim Pero Kayumangi. While guesting on nearly every artist’s album and stage show, Chill also showcased her skills and proved that she was a talented artist in her own right. With all of this success, she established herself in the hip-hop scene as a player who could no longer be ignored. The same major labels who had shot her down, were now knocking on her door. Following negotiations with several labels, Chill decided to further her existing relationship with Sony and she signed on with them as an artist under the Sony umbrella.

Once again the Sony partnership proved rewarding. Her albums dropped and sold in record breaking numbers. The press jumped on board resulting in both cover stories and articles in FHM, Maxim, People, Cosmo, Pulp Magazine, etc... . Next the endorsers stepped up, with the likes of Pepsi, FUBU, MTV, and VH1 all supporting and aligning themselves with Chill. And most importantly, the fans flocked to the shows. Her live hip hop audiences grew from numbers that filled small clubs to numbers that packed arenas. Chill became a bonefide Filipino superstar.

Never one to rest on her laurels, Chill has now set her sights on conquering the U.S. market. She’s currently residing and recording in Atlanta, GA (the new capital of hip-hop). While working on her upcoming album, Chill will also be co-starring in an online reality series called, “Goin’ To Atlanta.” The show will document her life both in & out of the recording studio. It’s scheduled to launch this summer.

With new styles, new sounds, and new flows, paired with her signature drive and determination, Chill is ready to turn the next page in her career and begin another exciting chapter
